“Living and Dining in History The past greets you with open arms at the Beekman Arms. The front door, slightly older than the American Revolution, is perhaps a testament to the determined spirit of that time, 250 odd years ago. Inside you will find Colonial Era comfort in various lounging and dining areas. Beekman offers an intimate and friendly ambience seldom encountered today- transporting you back to a time when life was far slower and there were more little moments of connection to embrace and weave into the textile of your experience. While I’ve had many great meals, lunches and dinners, at this historic Inn, I’ve yet to stay overnight, so I can’t provide commentary there, apart from a feeling that it would likely be pleasant. Rhinebeck is a beautiful historic town with significant architectural preservation and a fine array of specialty shops and dining, most of which are more recent additions, so it’s a treat that a place like the Beekman Arms is still in operation after two and half centuries of change, for better or worse.”

“We stayed here while in town for a wedding in May 2026. We found the inn to be conveniently located, friendly and charming. The inn is scattered in a number of homes and buildings around the town center. We stayed in one of the outer buildings but found it cozy, quiet and comfortable. It felt very much like staying in someone's home. They have a continental breakfast which is a nice gesture but not very good - mostly pre-packaged foods and just basic things. There's a tavern in the main building that is charming.”

“We took over the inn and the Delamater inn for a 50+ person wedding. Everything was clean and comfortable and the staff were kind and attentive. There is so much history here! That said, your room will be bright and comfy even if there aren’t as many amenities as with a modern hotel (no soundproofing ofc, no robes, no safes in room, no mini-fridge, those kinds of things). However, the inn is beautiful and the tavern serves great food. The greenhouse is a wonderful setting for a wedding or small event and the attached ballroom has a huge dance floor. Gathering areas like the fireplaced lobby were convenient and centrally located.”

“We had a relaxing and lovely winter getaway at America's oldest Inn! The history of the property is stunning from the first step onsite. I called directly to book and was grateful for Robert's incredibly attentive and helpful support in identifying 2 pet friendly rooms. We settled on the courtyard rooms for the King bed, fireplace, and pet friendly accommodation. The rooms were spacious and very cozy. Rhinebeck is a great small town for antiques and small shops, and we also had a lovely dinner at the Tavern. We hope to be back soon!”

“We recently had a family dinner (30) in private room. The restaurant is cozy & inviting. Staff was friendly. Food portions were mediocre & fair. the hors d'oeuvrs they passed out were from a box; Ceasar salad was fair, the roasted chicken was flavorful & the veggies were fresh! Deserts were fine but the Cappuccino was luke-warm. Id give this place another shot if i am in the area as i love old historic charm!”
